Questioning whether or not he is insane, Charles abandons his life in Houston to chase a dream - a prophetic dream. Hitchhiking to Tell City, Indiana, all he wants is reassurance that he isn't as crazy as his girlfriend says, and that his dream means something.

On the road to Tell City, he hitches a ride with a strange woman who claims she doesn't know him, but knows the person he will become, and that he is on the road to his destiny. But it isn't until reaching the small Midwest town and meeting a psychic named Desiree that he learns what his destiny actually entails...

Tell City has a secret: it hides the only remaining Oracle on Earth. Hidden in a place discoverable only by those who have gone before, the Oracle reveals riddled prophecies through the mouth of its blind priest, and it is the knowing Oracle that has been calling to Charles through his dreams. But the Oracle's knowledge only ever comes at a great sacrifice.
